SA S1 Desk

Whilst a great deal of care and effort is spent making and assembling our extensive range of Studio Racks and Recording Studio Furniture, we understand that the time required to produce the finished article may not fit with everyone’s desired delivery deadline. StudioRacks has designed an alternative for those customers working to a tighter schedule.

Easily assembled with only a standard x head screwdriver, it is constructed from quality furniture grade board with a modern textured dark walnut melamine or a semi-matt dark grey finish, complete with a substantial solid wood desk top in either natural beech or black dyed beech.

It has built-in flexibility you have various options, regarding the position of the rear section of the main desk top and the choice of where you would like the desk to provide the 19” racking. Should your needs change then these positions can be altered to adjust to the requirements.

• With the rear part of the desktop you can choose to have it either raised up above the main surface to provide a raised shelf, or level with it to form a deeper effectively continuous surface or dropped below the main desk top to allow a screen monitor to be lower in height potentially reducing reflection from your speakers and providing an alternative angle of vision.
• The desk is supplied with 2 pairs of 5u rack strips. These can be fitted in several different positions to suit your needs and can be changed around or upgraded with optional pairs of rack strips to provide up to 36u of 19” front-facing rack space. There is also the provision to fit 3u of rear rack strips in each cabinet for power strips or additional cable
  management.
• Should you wish to extend the surface area of the desktop, the desk comes with 2 infill shelves that can be positioned in line with the upper 5u rack strips. (see image 8 on the SA desk PDF for an example of where the 5u rack strips have been fitted in the area below the desk surface and the infill shelves have been fitted in the plain of the main desk surface)

19” racking ability in each cabinet is

• 5u above the worktop angled up and toward the user, giving maximum ease of viewing
  and hands-on twiddling.
• 5u below the desk surface above the fixed central shelf.
• Then 8u below the fixed central shelf in the lower section.
• Positioning for a further 3u of rear rack strip

Construction

The desk will be delivered to the UK mainland on a pallet for studio assembly requiring a medium-sized cross-head screwdriver. It is expected that it will take 2 to 3 hours to be assembled and would be best achieved with help from a second person.

We deliver to the mainland UK on a single standard pallet. It will be delivered by a third-party haulage company with standard kerbside delivery terms. Someone has to be present on the arranged day to receive the pallet.

Can I collect?

Yes by arrangement. We are based in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.

Can you deliver this desk outside of the mainland UK?

At present, we are not offering this within the price. Please contact for delivery viability and cost
outside of mainland UK

Can I fit a monitor arm to the desk?
Yes, the rear of the desktop will accept a monitor arm clamp or be drilled through to accept the
bolt. The positioning of the arm will have to take account of the central adjustable rear leg.
