StudioRacks MiniMaster Recording Studio Desk is designed to provide a compact, flexible and stylish workstation that meets the needs of today’s music and media producers.
The desk has black, lightly embossed polypropylene coated surfaces with striking exposed and contoured birch ply edges that highlight the sleek ergonomic design. The MiniMaster has a remarkably small footprint for recording studio furniture, and has been designed for maximum flexibility in a compact form. With a width of just under 2 meters, and an overall front-to-back depth of less than 900mm, it nevertheless provides lots of desk surface space. The desktop height is a comfortable 753mm. Yet all this provides you with up to 38u of rack space plus monitor shelves and room for a large screen monitor or two 19” screen monitors between the two monitor shelves.
To each side of the desktop there is 4u of 19” racking, providing 8u of easily accessible space for your most frequently used rackmount equipment. The upper racks are angled in towards the central operating system and at a slight upward tilt, making the equipment within arm’s reach.
There is a further 30u of rackspace below the desktop – 15u each side. If you don’t need this amount of rackspace there is an option to increase the space beneath the desk by fitting 2u of under desk racking to one or both sides instead, leaving knee space beneath these units. Rack strips for both configurations are shipped with the desk.
Rear rack strips to the lower racks provide more flexibility. While the lower part of the rear rack strips serve a structural function, the upper part is available to facilitate cable management tie bars and could be a useful place for rack mount power supplies.
